What little there is to scavenge, they do, coming up with a first aid kit, chemical flares, and gasoline—fresh, no less; the rarest find of them all. While gathering supplies, they find a TV station with intact satellite dishes. That should do the trick so they can contact Kaya for an update on her unwelcomed guest situation.

The gang make it to the US-Canadian border in yet another "borrowed" vehicle. The awkward tension between Roberta and Murphy turns downright hostile by the time they step out to scout the border crossing. As for an easy way into Canada? There isn't one. Zombies litter both sides of the border. Not all are the uber-Zs. Some are downright kind, easily pushed aside by the gang as they devolve into a bit of playtime instead of clearing the path. 10k and Roberta keep their eyes forward, though, pushing the others back in line so they can just get to Newmerica.

Transformed into something no one understands or can replicate. Dragged across the country by strangers. Shot at. Stabbed. Attacked. Insulted. Degraded. He lost his friends, lover, and daughter. The woman he thought he could trust abandoned him when he was dying, leaving his daughter to sacrifice herself for him. A guy who got into all this trouble because of postal fraud, for all things, never stood half a chance of becoming a thriving member of the apocalypse community. That doesn't mean he won't try now, though.

We witness possibly the strongest performances to date from our main duo. Just when fans got comfortable with the lighthearted chase scenes and mass slaughter, the writing team comes through with a script to show off what these actors can do. They more than delivered. Grab your tissues. We'll get through this fresh heartache together.
