My favorite moment in Season 1 is when Rick first wakes up in the hospital and he’s trying to figure out what happened. It would be a weird experience to wake up to.
As for Season 2 predictions…I hope the survivors keep on surviving. I also hope we found out what happened to Merle Dixon.
My favorite moment of S1 will always be when Amy died and Andrea was basically cuddling her. No moment in television ever has had me as emotional as that one. I was literally screaming at the tv “Why she cuddling a zombie? You gonna get ate, Andrea! Shoot her in the head!” My heart was racing, my nerves were jacked and my palms were sweaty until she finally shot her. Then, I cried as hard as if it was my own sister. Such a powerful moment.
As far as predictions for S2 go, I’m predicting a huge fight between Rick and Shane, more tears for Lori, Glenn finally getting a woman, and I hope Andrea and Dale reveal that they are in a relationship. I’m also hoping for a backstory for Merle and Daryl.
I agree Summer. That scene was so beautifully acted.
Favourite moment…hmmmmm……that’s tough!
Going to have to go with the moment Carl spots Rick and realises his dad isn’t dead……makes me cry every time! In a world where families are literally torn apart its beautiful to see one put back together 🙂
Predictions for season 2…….some major confrontation in the Shane/Lori/Rick love triangle, perhaps a power struggle between Rick and Shane too…….Lori pregnant perhaps??? :O and hopefully Andrea and Carol kicking some butt! I’d love to see a bit of girl-power! 😀
My favorite scene in Season 1 is when Rick gets stuck in the tank.. the banter between him and Glenn over the radio was classic. After that, when Rick and Glenn donned “zombie camouflage” and went after the vehicles to get out of Atlanta..
This season I predict a big blow up between Rick and Shane, Lori finds out she is pregnant (but the cliffhanger will be who’s the father?). Glenn finds a girl, Merle is found – and his hand comes alive and chases them down.. 😉
Grae
my favorite scene was the goodbyes to Jim under the tree. it proved to me what a talented group of people are bring the show to life… and how some of the strongest moments have no words at all…
predictions? well i have been biding my time till the premier of season 2 with the graphic novels, and outside the basic story line that they have laid as the foundation, I would really like to get a sense of who these characters were before the apocalypse and how it changed them.
One of my favorite scenes in season 1 is when Amy and Andrea are fishing and talking about the different knots they were taught by their father. And the dry lure vs the wet lure.
In season 2, I think Rick finds out about Shane and Lori. Dale becomes like a father to Andrea. Glenn gets lucky.
Loved that scene with them in the boat.
My favorite scene was the shot of Merle’s severed hand on the roof. While there are so many well acted scenes from Season 1 (kudos to all the actors), this stark shot of a severed hand shows how desperate the situation is for our cast of survisiors as they try to live just one more day. Face it, we’re all still wondering, “WHERE’S MERLE?”
My prediction for season 2 (sorry I forgot to include this), is that we will see some stronger alliances forming that we didn’t expect. I can almost see Daryl becoming a protector for Carol and Sophia (one damaged person protecting other damaged people).
All very good comments so far. It was hard to chose, wasn’t it? Like the scene where the CDC doors open – dramatic lighting. Or the poignant moment when Carol puts a pick through her soon to be undead husband’s head (love the look on Daryl’s face). Then there are the inside bits, like the set-up of the shot with Carl, Carol, and Sofia in the vehicle leaving Atlanta being reminiscent of another great Darabont scene (we will miss you). But I think I have to go with all the times Daryl tries to kick Miguel – good clean fun!
my fave scene is when Daryl Dixon shoots with the crossbow the ass of the man who’s trying to knock off the arms on the street.it was so funny!! well done Daryl!!!!
predictions for season 2: the group meets Merle again and it won’t be a nice moment,Lori is pregnant but only she knows he’s the father and Rick won’t be so happy for this, and I hope to see Daryl more and more, since he’s my fave character!!!
Favorite moment from Season 1 is when Shane kicks Ed’s ass, yes Shane is hated but he had nothing on Ed and I was cheering him on as he pummeled him…good times, good times LOL.
As for Season 2, a Daryl/Merle reunion but not for them to be happy to see each other. I would love to see something like Merle trying to attack the others and Daryl standing up to his big brother.
My favorite scene was the reveal that Merle was still alive. I just think that is such an awesome scene story-wise.
As for season 2, I expect more interaction with survivor groups.
My favorite moment… omigosh there were so many! But I have to go with Merle’s monologue on the rooftop at the beginning of episode 4. He cycled through such a huge range of emotions in such a short period of time, I was almost in shock when the scene ended. Amazing. Rooker nailed that scene perfectly.
For Season 2 – confrontations.
Rick, Shane, Lori.. not sure where they’re going with the love triangle from hell. I certainly expect one hell of an explosive confrontation at one point, maybe a nasty splintering of Rick and Shane’s friendship.
Andrea will confront Dale for ruining her suicide plan. Daryl will probably confront everyone, it’s kind of his thing. But waiting for the Daryl / Merle confrontation is killing me. It will come. It HAS to!
And I’m worried about Sophie.
I would have to say my favorite moment from season 1 was so brief, some may have missed it, but not the real fans, they do not miss a thing! It came at the point where Jim, infected and close to death, decides he cannot go on, and they sit him under a tree to die alone, which was his choice. That single second when Daryl looks at him and gives him that slight head nod, just says so much about where his character is heading. Before that moment, he was wanting to slam an sharp instrument into Jim’s head, so this was a huge departure for him.
As for what I expect to see in Season 2, Lori, pregnant and the possible baby daddies getting into heated moments, Andrea, growing a huge spine and becoming a warrior, and along side Carol, they will kick tons of Zombie ass, and Daryl being thrust into leadership roles his may not be comfortable with, and tons of great surprises!
Angel_Unglued- YES! Such a good scene!
My favorite moment from Season One has to be the little girl zombie from the premier. The first zombie, particularly brutal, gripping, and shocking and really well done. Set the tone for the entire season and the series in general.
I think Season Two is going to find our favorite law enforcement officer, Rick Grimes dealing with more zombies as he struggles to keep his family safe and sane. Broad and general, I know, but true nonetheless!
All of these scenes are awesome choices and there are so many great ones to pick from. I am going with the Vatos in general cause they’re awesome on screen and in real life so they hold a special place in my heart (also, it was the first episode I saw clips from because I work so much I have to DVR everything and I was behind LOL).
predictions….not gonna make any. I try not to over think it because I hate the idea that I might get some of it right and then I know in advance so to speak and I don’t want to hope for something and be let down. I’m weird like that. LMAO
All the scenes are amazing and it’s hard to pick one, like everyone has been saying. I think I’m gonna have to go with the nighttime attack on the camp. It was just so sudden and it made your heart race, and then just like that it was over, people were dead, etc.
My predictions for season two:
– Shane and Andrea seem to bond a bit in the trailers, which I love, so I think they’re gonna form some mini-partnership together.
– It may be wishful thinking on my part, but I HOPE they run into Morgan and Duane again. I loved them to pieces.
– And finally, I think another reunion of the brothers will take place and I’m sure it won’t be pleasant!
Favorite scenes in Season 1? Well, so many but to name a few, the scene when Morgan is torn about shooting his wife. Brought tears to my eyes. Another, the scene where Amy died. Gut wrenching(no pun intended) and LOVE the scene where everyone was getting drunk and “Daryl” makes fun of how red “Glenn’s” face can get! lol! As far as Season 2, backstory on Merle and Daryl of course, reuinite the brothers, wonder if Morgan and his son make it to Atlanta and hook-up with the group, and wonder if Shane and Rick have any conflict. I’m sure no matter what Season 2 brings it will definetly be great!!!
Favorite moment from S1: When Rick shot the little zombie girl, I was shocked and thought “Wow, this show is gonna be good!”.
S2 prediction: (I hope) we find out what happened to Merle and there’s Dixon brother reunion.
One of my absolute favorite moments was the moment Rick and Glenn met. As a makeup artist, I loved any scene with zombies, because I loved to get inspirations from them. I also liked seeing the intensity between Rick and Shane start to build up.
My predictions:
– They continue the battle to survive 😉
– I think that new unexpected bonds between characters are going to arise like T-dogg and Daryl
– I really hope they start to show the connection that Carl and Sophia begin to have. I have a feeling that when all else fails, they will rise up and the stories will shift on how they survive from being children to adults (thats quite a few seasons ahead, but a starting story would be nice)
My favorite scene from season 1. Was where the gang leader told Rick he was going to feed Glenn to his two dogs that he’d gotten from Satans yard sale. They turned out to be little chihuahuas! Lol
My favorite scene from season 1 of The Walking Dead has to be Glenn and his sports car. Glenn is one of my favorite characters and his happiness at having that car, even if it is only for a short time, makes me laugh. It’s one of the lighter moments that they work into such a dramatic show so well.
My prediction for season 2 includes seeing Merle again. Whether or not we get the whole story on him, I do think we’ll see him again. And hopefully see him interact with Daryl. I also have a feeling there’s going to be a HUGE blowout between Rick and Shane. I could see Shane breaking off from the group because of that. And dangit, we better find out what Dr. Jenner said to Rick!
Season 1 Favorite – Glen revealing he was previously a pizza delivery guy (explains a lot) and a normally disinterested Darryl being rather impressed by this.
Season 2 Prediction – Safety in numbers. If the gang splits up, someone(or two?!) has definitely been written off the show 🙁
BTW – Soooooooooooooo psyched for manana!
Keep ’em coming, folks! As the Yellow Brigade commander, I can’t enter this contest, but I’d like to chime in with my most memorable moment. =)
My favorite moment is when Rick and crew discover the reality behind G and the Vatos. It’s a powerful moment bc it really makes you think about how we judge a book by its cover.
Also, I’d love to see Merle return, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen, and since I haven’t read the comic books (I know, shame on me), I have NO CLUE as to what’s really going to happen.
I’m watching all of season 1 today with my aunt and cousin, and I CAN’T WAIT for season 2 to start tomorrow night!
Bring it!
I cannot believe I didn’t put G and the Vatos as my favorite moment! I honestly blanked on that till just now! D:
My season 1 favourite moment is actually a whole episode. “Tell it to the Frog” was just so good, I can’t pick just one.
– Rick reunites with his family
– Joyriding Glen
– The introduction of Daryl
– Shane beating the crap out of Ed Peletier
Really, I can’t pick one.
As for season 2 predictions, alliances will be formed, blood will be spilled and a whole lotta heads are gonna roll!! I expect the unexpected.
Can’t wait to see it!!
my favorite part was the last episode when the CDC was about to explode and Andrea decides to stay and Dale Horvath decides to stay with her. When he gives the speech that she doesn’t get to make that choice and he wasn’t about to let her stay there alone brought tears to my eyes. When they ended up walking out of the building just before it exploded I cried even harder.
For season 2 I am very interested in finding out what happened to Merle and I agree with other posts about group in numbers and that if the group breaks up in anyway people will be taken out.
Best part of season 1? Easy that last walkers kill ny Daryl, the running decapitation. Predictions for season 2 ? Nothing but kick ass walker killing. Boooooom
Winner will be announced FRIDAY, NOV 11!!!
Thank you to everyone who participated!
